It’s true. And that’s because your body has to work harder to keep you warm. By doing so, it expends a lot more energy (calories). The obvious benefit for you is “effortless” fat loss – that and you’ll save plenty on your heating bill.
Weird Weight Loss Trick #4: Paint your walls blue. Out of all the tricks listed, this one obviously takes the cake. How can a simple change such as blue walls actually help you lose weight?
Well, as it turns out the color blue makes food look unappealing. So much so, that when researchers conducted an experiment to see its effect on eating habits, they found that it decreases intake by a whopping 33%.
Not keen on redoing your living room? No problem. You can still tap into the power of this weird trick by having blue objects around you (e.g. napkins, plates, and paintings).
But a word of warning: just as blue decreases appetite, the colors red, yellow, and orange increase it. Therefore, get those out of your sight when it’s time to chow down.
