Did you know that your weight (and waistline) is affected by more than just the food you eat? In fact, you might be on what you think is a healthy diet and still be sabotaging your fat loss goals.
Simple… the packages that store your food consist of many different chemicals. Some are harmless, others not so much. And a growing body of evidence is showing that one in particular (bisphenol A or BPA for short) is responsible for stubborn belly fat.
What’s worse is that this substance is present everywhere. It’s found in plastics (e.g. bottled water) and the inner lining of cans. As such, it slowly seeps into your food and drink and wreaks eventual havoc on your body.
Like you didn’t have enough problems trying to stay slim – now you have to deal with this. But look on the bright side… by removing BPA from your daily life, you’ll be taking another major step towards getting fit.
With this in mind, here are a few tips to do just that:
- Try to avoid eating things that come in plastic containers as much as possible. Now, I know this can be difficult but nothing worth having comes easy.
- If you’re going to purchase something that comes in a plastic container, make sure it’s BPA free (this goes for bottled water as well). Since this is becoming a buzzword as of late, food manufacturers place the label on their containers to stand out from the competition. So, if it truly lacks BPA, you can be sure the company’s going to shout it from the rooftops (in most cases; see below).
- If you eat foods that are packaged or canned on a daily basis (e.g. tuna) and you can’t nor won’t give them up, and… the BPA-free label is absent… there’s still hope. Call up the company and ask them explicitly. They’ll let you know what the deal is.
And there you have it. It’s simple and it works: stay BPA-free – shed belly fat.
