In short, the larger the spike in blood sugar, the more insulin your pancreas must secrete to bring it down to normal levels. But besides this lowering effect, insulin also leads to fat storage and prevents your body from burning it.

Trick #1: Drink 3 tablespoons of fresh-squeezed lemon juice before sitting down to eat. But keep in mind, this has to be the fresh kind that you get from squeezing your OWN lemons – not the store bought junk.
Trick #2: Take 2 cinnamon capsules before your meal. Also, out of the 3 that were tested by Tim, Saigon (or Vietnamese) cinnamon had the greatest effect on the blood sugar response.
